Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tablespoon minced garlic)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (or 1 tablespoon cornstarch for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Whisk in the flour (or cornstarch), followed by chicken broth. Stir until slightly thickened.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the cream and Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over them, and simmer for another 10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
