Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
Rub the chicken with olive oil, then season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Preheat to medium-high heat.
Preheat to 400°F (200°C).
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 5–7 minutes per side, basting with BBQ sauce during the last few minutes. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Place the chicken in a baking dish, brush with BBQ sauce, and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping and basting halfway through.
In the last 2–3 minutes, increase the grill heat or broil the chicken in the oven to caramelize the BBQ sauce.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Add extra BBQ sauce if desired.
